3 Days!

I am also sad because tonight we take our pet Toy Poodle to my Mom's house (two hours away) and it is going to be so quiet around here for two full days without her here. It is the best day we could take her and the closest possible to the trip. She will enjoy her stay I am sure at my Mom's. My Mom thinks of Phoebe (toy poodle) like another grandchild. :-)

We are going to really miss her on the trip. Isn't she cute...she is such a member of the family. You know "Animals are People too!"

Wordless Wednesday: Giant Socks in a Giant Dresser

This is a picture we took leaving the Hospital where my sister had her baby.

I have seen this many times when I was little and lived home. You will find this site in High Point, NC! They have another very larger bureau also in High Point somewhere else. Thomasville, NC (neighboring city) is the home of the "Big Chair."

Wordless Wednesday: My Son and Elmo watch DVDs!

Thrifty note on picture below of My son "watching dvds" with his Buddy "Elmo!"

This "My Size Elmo" cost me $1.00 at the school yard sale! WOW! He loves it! Great condition, has little feet holders so the child can "dance" with Elmo and the Elmo talks! Excellent deal for a dollar and my son has a "friend" his size! :-)

In the picture below...my son and myself just were having our picture taken by "Daddy!" As you can see my son was not excited as he was in mid-chew with his bread. :-)

Thrifty Update on Hospital Bill: We won't know the exact charges unless my sister asks for an itemized statement. They automatically send something that LOOKS like an itemized statement but if you want to see the dollar here and dollar there stuff, you have to submit a written request if I remember correctly. You don't get it unless you request it.

Thrifty Note: Notice the table, chair, and potato/onion bin? I got all of them at an Antique Store and I LOVE them! 1950s Table/Chairs and the chairs were newly upholstered....beautiful. The table is all original. I got the table, 4 chairs with two leafs for $350! I find that to be a steal because it is beautiful! The Potato/Onion bin came from the same store...my mom gave it to me for a birthday gift one year because I really wanted one and not a new one. New will cost you anywhere from $50-$70+! My Mom gave $30! I love it! (psst...this is also considered GREEN! You are recycling furniture instead of buying new! Hey, you also are unique in your decorating! Good luck to anyone who tries to copy you!) :-)

P.S. Thrifty folks: Notice all the "RED Stickered" items behind my Mom's head! :-) She is a "Smart Shopper" as well! This is where I get all this from! She is the master of Thrift!

Wordless Wednesday! Gingerbread House with 2 1/2 year old!

This was a cool gift from one of our friends. They said it was for me and my son to have something to work on together! It was truly a lot of fun and TASTY! It is what we finally got around to doing tonight actually! Keeping the Holiday going here!

Notice the coffee cup supports! LOL :-) We enjoyed making the house just the same! :-)
